![]() Experience true High Definition video unlike any other system as your monitor brings everything to life. The DVR finally brings 4K UHD quality to a NVR that can be viewed on vivid, crystal-clear 8-Megapixel resolution. I have found Amcrest as a company to be very customer focused. Shipping was 3 days even thou I was given a 7-10 day window. ![]() I have a 128 GB SD card in all my cameras and they do not conflict with the NVR. If you have an Amcrest video doorbell, as I do, then the NVR setup options are very limited, you will need to do most of the setup via the Amcrest Smart app. It works great and playback of recorded video works great on both the direct connect and the mobile app. If you plan on using the mobile Amcrest app I highly rec. I have it connected to my 65" TV via HDMI with a wireless mouse and it works and looks great. The web interface only allows to view 4 cameras at a time but the direct connection allows to view all 16 channels at once. Setup might take some time based on the number of cameras you have but in the end it is well worth it. it works as advertised and detecting cameras, all 12 are Amcrest, worked great. Hope this helps others out there in the same boat. Of my two NVR?s this one was the oldest so I?m expecting my newer one to go well too when I swap it in a week or so. I searched the Internet for days looking for a solution somebody else had done but could not find anything a month after the shutdown. Well the title of this review was the spoiler alert - I swapped the NVR and they are working great! I really wanted to post this to help others like myself who were caught in the middle of the Q-See company failure and are wondering where they can purchase a replacement NVR that will work with their existing Q-See cameras. I knew my cameras were ONVIF compliant in 2016 and this NVR was ONVIF as well but Amcrest couldn?t say if they would work either so I?ll try it and see. The hope was my 2016 Q-See cameras would work with the Amcrest NVR. After finding Amcrest and looking deep at the NV5232E-16P as a replacement I rolled the dice and purchased two. s to go down at an unpredictable time and then scramble I decided to look for a replacement. As soon as the QC View DDNS server was shut down (stopping all Q-See customers remote viewing capabilities) I was able to get my two systems back easily by using a new DDNS with the QC View app but I knew the App?s days were numbered. When Q-See went out of business in January 2021 I needed to get a replacement NVR for my QC8832 32 channel NVR to deal with the inevitable loss of their Q-See App due to future iOS upgrades that would eventually render the app non-functional.
